50th Annual
Maple Syrup Festival
Shepherd, Michigan
April 26, 2008

Shepherd is a small town located about 7 miles south of Mt. Pleasant. There, many people make syrup from the sap of the maple trees in the town. At the annual festival, there was a big pancake and sausage meal. There were also craft shows, yard sales, and some carnival rides for families. We ended the evening listening to the Central Michigan Concert Band. Driving back to Mt. Pleasant, we saw fireworks over Shepherd.
